Richey
Counseling Intern

Richey Williams, Intern

My name is Richey, and I am a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern Arkansas University. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, and history from Carl Albert State College. My goal is to become a licensed counselor and continue providing compassionate, evidence-based support to individuals seeking healing and recovery.

I have extensive experience working with people navigating the challenges of substance use and co-occurring disorders. My passion lies in helping others rediscover their strength and rebuild their lives with purpose and hope. I was drawn to counseling by a deep-seated desire to walk alongside others through life’s most difficult seasons.

I believe everyone deserves a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space to explore their thoughts and emotions. Guided by empathy and respect, I strive to create an environment where every client feels seen, heard, and valued. I am also deeply committed to serving the LGBTQ+ community and ensuring access to inclusive, culturally competent care. My work is grounded in the belief that, with the right support, anyone can overcome adversity and achieve lasting personal growth.
