Counseling Intern

Pete McCollough, Intern

Pete is a skilled and compassionate people-person who brings deep empathy and understanding to his work. A devoted husband and father of two daughters, Pete was born and raised in the River Valley. He pursued his passion for mental health by studying psychology and counseling at Ecclesia College in Springdale. He is working to obtain his Master’s in the Clinical and Mental Health Counseling Program at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia.

Pete’s calling to mental health work began in high school, and he has remained committed to walking alongside others in their journeys ever since. He is eager to connect with individuals from all walks of life, offering support, insight, and a safe space to explore life’s challenges.

He finds inspiration in the words of Viktor Frankl:
“Man is not destroyed by suffering; he is destroyed by suffering without meaning.” (Frankl, 1946)
