Counseling Intern

Colton Cooper, Intern

My name is Colton Cooper. I am a Master of Social Work student at Arkansas State University and a therapy intern working with both children and adults.

I believe people make sense in context. In the therapy room, I aim to help people feel safer, notice what shows up, and move toward what matters, even when things are hard. I believe we live more connected, whole, and meaningful lives when we have room to respond rather than react. I approach this work as a learner, focused less on having answers and more on helping clients make sense of their experience in their own way.

In my work with children, I draw from play-based, developmentally responsive approaches that honor neurodiversity and emphasize safety, regulation, and relationship.
